    Posted: 04/May/2010 at 11:54pm

My TF5010PVRTH froze last week and I had to unplug it at the wall. When I turn it back on it was reverted back to the default setting. I lost the time, all channels and all program timers. Lucky my recordings that I have not watched are fine.

Tonight it was recording a show and I went into the system setting to setup a timer. I did not notice that the front display was stuck on menu after I left the system settings. The only way I would get it woking again was to turn it off at the wall. Once again it gone back to the default setting and the time, channels and program timers had gone.

Why is the unit doing this?

I just joined up to search for pretty much this same problem. My 5010 is about 11 months old and in the last 3 days it has locked up 4 times. The front display shows it receiving a signal from the remote, but nothing happens.

I don't lose my channels or installed TAPs or anything, but it has to be unplugged for it to restart and start workign again. Once every now and then I can understand but suddenly 4 times in 3 days is worrying. Nothing else has changed (like the cabinet it is in or anything external like that.)

I'm also experiencing problems. Unable to see recofrded programs, remote freezing, recorded programs (when I'm able to see them) crashing, etc. I'm really now limited to set-top box functions only.

Looking at your posts, it seems that I'm not alone in having problems. Has anyone had an answer? I don't know where to go to get support as I cannot find a support telephone number.
