Over the last couple of days my topfield has been freezing - it just stays on whatever channel it's on (keeping the archive up if that has been pressed before it froze) and then no button pressed will change the channel or whether the archive is up or not. Weirdly, the channel keeps going, rather than freezing as well. Even if I press standby, on the remote or the box itself, it stays on (although the display turns off on the box).
If this happens when it is supposed to be recording it doesn't record. I leave it on almost all the time, so often I don't notice until I try to see my shows and there are none. It has recorded some things over the 'freezing period' of the last few days, so I'm not sure what brings on these freezing episodes.
I have posted about a possibly related matter on Software/Firmware - I haven't upgraded the firmware before as I don't know how - if that question gets answered there would that fix it?
I use ProgressBarKeys, but turning it off doesn't fix the problem, so I turned it back on - I like my 3 min skip.
I don't know if you need any more info, but I really hope someone can help me
