Ideas 1, 3, 4 and 5 get my preferences ;)

The more lines per page option sounds handy since with 30+ timers I'm inclined to miss a few, or think I have, when scrolling/jumping through an entire week checking entries. I like the present small name font, especially since I've ticked the 'add date to name' box - with the small font there's room to show it.

I also like to keep track of HDD space. I got used to seeing it all the time with Improbox's info box and PBK's file listing, I think, on the 5000.

Recovering deleted timers would be nice. I think a TAP on the old 5000 allowed me to do this. Anyway when I go away and trim back the timers to the bare essentials to save HDD space, it'd be nice to simply call up a list and restore them once I get back home. Likewise some programs demand a certain weekly timer spot for a few weeks, then a season of repeats or an election (yawn) ensues till there's another interesting series in the same time slot.

I can't think of any more suggestions to add to your list - at least not to the timer related stuff.

just reloaded the logo files from the grey background, they look good but I think the abc ones are a tad too small. The abc news 24 is a good size.

The new fonts on timer tap look good jaffaman.....LOL from the screens shots now the whole world knows what jaffaman watches....(no days of our lives however)

Yes - at least that is true - no need to hide from that one, though some of the others are dubious - I blame the kids. Maybe I should have set some more cerebral timers up...... If only there was actually some decent sci-fi on you would get a more realistic idea.... LOL

There's nothing to stop you creating your own.

The grey background is (RGB) 30:30:30 and the image is 60 x 38 pixels or a larger multiple of this, ie 90 x 57 or 120 x 76 or say 150 x 95. These were the starting sizes I used when I did screen captures from 'other web sites' before changing the background to grey. The trick is when saving as a .jpg turn off file compression otherwise you don't get a solid grey.

At the moment it seems not - all of the other keys work, but it looks like the colour keys don't. I'm not sure why but will try and find out.

Actually - it may only be an issue with 7100 and 7160 machines. I am trying to work out what is going wrong.

OK - found it.  I'll post a new version shortly. The bug will affect AutoSched as well, so I will get the fix over to Barnabas.

New version on TAPWorld to fix this problem - thanks srdudley

v2.07 31 July 2010:

  • Info button will now exit the credits screen as well as the exit button
  • Added ability to create a new timer with either record or red from the timer screen
  • Fixed bug on 7100+ and 7160 machines which prevented the colour keys from being used to activate the tap
Known Issue: In working on the above I confirmed that the key assignment routines are playing up - they are cycling differently in one direction than in the other - if you can't find the key you want by going in one direction, try going in the other. This explains your odd results the other day phil.

I will fix this soon, but to do so really requires a bit of rework of the whole key definition code (which was from the original AutoSched - I think I will just redo it from scratch), so I can't do it today.

I don't know if this thread from the DTV forum is any use to those tweaking the logo files for the Toppy, but a quick browse of the target sites showed some nice renditions -

http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=67016&hl=

No doubt all the wrong size/resolution for Toppy TAPs, but maybe good raw material?
