You'll also note that the |< and >| keys cycle through alpha characters as well. It cycles through the whole alphanumeric alphabet and includes commas, curley braces etc etc, not that you need any of these bar the comma.

What were you original number(s) Rob? I ask because mine were originally set manually in my ini file via FTP. Once I have your entry, I'll set mine the same and have a fiddle with it - maybe then I have a better idea of what the problem might be.

So far, I've found that once you get the first number right, say the number 1, use the right arrow key to the next position, and then use the OK or |< and >| buttons to create the next digit. Now shift to the right again, use the same keys to create the comma, and so on.

Thanks Phil, easy when explained that I needed to set 1 and then 0 and then the comma etc rather than expecting that I could toggle up from 9 to 10.

Having done that my next problem is that I can't toggle to 10 reliably, sometimes only getting to 7 and then looking to lock the menu, though Exit works, to get the font settings on page 0, page 1 etc to show Font size 10.

Not quite sure exactly what you're doing here.

I take it that you've got the numbers in OK through the menu? i.e. you have 10,12 as the entry for Fonts?

And that you have in the ProgramFiles/Settings/Fonts the two files called 10.fnt and 12.fnt?

That you use the Menu key to exit the Menu when finsihed with editing?

That you have set/checked the Font Toggle Button to a specific button and NOT used this button elsewhere in the Menu for another function?

I ask as I'm not sure how you are sometimes getting to 7?? Is that a font or are we talking about not being able to set the numbers 10 and 12 in the Menu? Are you using the OK button to set the second digit of the font entries?

Cheers,
Phil.

Thanks Phil, I can now see the nicer new font and just have to work out how to get the font size toggle working. I was using OK to increase the font number setting for each Page.

The key was renaming the font files 10.fnt and 12.fnt not 10.pnt and 12.pnt as mentioned by you earlier in this topic and in the first post on the TAP itself.

Edit
Now all working correctly. I had A/R set for both skin toggle and font toggle so by setting the former to None it now all works - though I'm hardly likely to use 12pt so I my end up jut not bothering with the font toggle button in any event. The 10pt Arial narrow on a 50" plasma is more than big enough.

Bugger, bugger, sorry about that typo. Have edited both posts now - thanks. You can of course go smaller in font size Smile
Cheers,
Phil.

Have a set of four Fonts available for download - link in the first post. Point sizes are 8,9,10,11,12 for all four.

This post is to show an example of Just EPG on a 7160 displaying on a 4:3 monitor with the key things being;
1. Show all (for most users) 16 services on the one display.
2. Having a somewhat similar look to the in-built firmware displays.
It uses Aerial narrow 9pt font with a cosmetic 'tweak' of using Service Nicknames that start with two leading spaces so the Service name is not hard up on the left side of that services list and the Extended info is reduces to 1 line so as to maximise the number of lines shown for each service.

The basic aim was to be like the TAPs name - just an EPG display of what's on and what's coming up in one easy to use display.

Thanks Robert for your skin. Just goes to show that you can make it look exactly to your own liking. Good idea about adding a few space characters to the beginning of the nicknames.

I took this even further just now and centred each of the names within the box space. Not sure if I like it better though. Also best done by manually editing the ini file - doing it through the Menu would not be fun when you have to add about 20 odd spaces to each name.

Cheers,
Phil.
